This is from ES. But this line made me laugh

Zoe Appleyard-Ley only realised something was wrong when Emma Currie, 45, did not bring her a morning cup of tea in bed.

Ditto!
She must be a very hands on mother if the only way she realised the nanny is gone was by missing car and valuables...
Plus the MB can afford a Mercedes and hundreds of thousands in jewellery but hires a nanny via Gumtree  Huh

P.S. I'm not crossing to the dark side but the nanny looks lovely in the pics ↓

I once worked as a temp nanny for a very wealthy family who found me on Gumtree, so that doesn't have to mean too much. But yes, the sentence with the tea made me laugh too.

Hope you had a good experience with them BilingualNanny.

My own experience with families who advertised via Gumtree was dreadful - to say the least  Wink. Even now, years later,  the very name Gumtree gives me chills...

They were wonderful, I am still sad it was only a temp role. It was years ago when I was young and didn't have much experience, today I am only going through agencies. I am still shocked how many families don't want to pay taxes&NI.

Ditto. Not to mention the egregious hours or working conditions some want to offer  Wink
Thank God for agencies and word of mouth.
