Have you got a Childrens centre near you?. Sometimes they run activities for the little ones over the hols

I take my 5 year old charge to the library. Yes, we have to weather te short walk from the car park to the library itself but there are a lot of younger children there, like those you have. There are sofas and bean bags for reading with smaller kids. It always eats an hour or so and it's stimulating for me rather than trying to find something to do in the house
