I want to make myself a sort of "craft box" for my charge, but wonder what you all use for your arts and crafts and where to buy from?

I looked on the websites that nurseries use but I don't think I'll need 20 bottles of ready mix paint lol

I'm thinking of like poster paints/powder paints as she's still young so want to stick to finger painting and such.

and then cheap coloured paper and collage bits and stuff

ELC had 20% off their arty stuff, don't know if they still do. But bottles of paint were 80p.

Is there a craft/resource shop near you?

I use a Play and Resoucrce centre.. I dont know if they have tem everywhere?

But its fab.. they have a section of the shop where you can buy all art and craft stuff, but then they also have a s.c.ra.p. store, where if a member, you can "help yourself" to as much s.c.r.a.p. material as you like (within reason).. they have paper. diff card, material, huge rolls of fabric and lots of other different items

As it is quite a drive from where I live/work, I stock up whilst there and have not needed to go back for anything in a good while.. I prob went last July/Aug and we still have loads of stuff

Probably another useless thread like the nature detectives but...
I went into hobby craft today and there are lots of wooden decorations, that you paint yourself. Including stars, sleighs, father christmas and trees. Most are 99p, if any ones stuck for some ideas, I always avoid hobby craft as it can be quite expenssive!
